Welcome to opening night of the Cornley University Drama Society’s newest production, The Murder at Haversham Manor, where things are quickly going from bad to utterly disastrous. This 1920s whodunit has everything you never wanted in a show—an unconscious leading lady, a corpse that can’t play dead, and actors who trip over everything (including their lines). Nevertheless, the accident-prone thespians battle against all odds to make it through to their final curtain call, with hilarious consequences! Part Monty Python, part Sherlock Holmes, this Olivier Award–winning comedy is a global phenomenon that’s guaranteed to leave you aching with laughter!

A talkback with the cast & crew of The Play That Goes Wrong will be held following the performance on Sunday, February 9. Run Time: Two Hours (Approx.) There will be a fifteen-minute intermission for this show. Content Awareness: This production depicts some violence in a comedic manner and mild sexual innuendos.

Chronic Pain? Fascia Decompression with Block Therapy for Breast and Lungs

This block therapy workshop we will be focusing on the breast/chest and lung area.
Spending an hour on each breast/pec area is a game changer for the body as a whole. This will be invaluable to breast health, to improve your breath and lift the ribcage for overall upper body alignment. This is a must have for everyone! It is recommended to attend the other workshops or complete the 9 day starter program before doing this workshop. Block Therapy combines sustained pressure and diaphragmatic breathing to dissolve fascial adhesions connected to the bone. Fascia, which grips bone at 2000 pounds per square inch, can lead to misalignment over time. This method reverses misalignment and promotes body symmetry as the ribcage often collapses into core causing a cascade of issues for alignment and organs and glands.

Join us Saturday 1-3 pm for a 2 hour fascia decompression workshop and tap into your body’s innate ability to heal itself.

A progressive white couple’s proud liberal sensibilities are tested when their daughter brings her black fiance home to meet them in this fresh and relevant stage adaptation of the iconic film Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner. Blindsided by their daughter’s whirlwind romance and fearful for her future, Matt and Christina Drayton quickly realize the difference between supporting a mixed-race couple in your newspaper and welcoming one into your family–especially in 1967. But they’re surprised to find they aren’t the only ones concerned about the match, and it’s only a short time before a multi-family clash of racial and generational difference sweeps across the Draytons’ idyllic San Francisco terrace. Joy Oladokun: The Blackbird Tour

A Benefit for the North Carolina Community Foundation. Joy is donating 100% of the proceeds from this performance to NCCF’s Disaster Relief Fund to help rebuild after the disastrous effects of Hurricane Helene across Appalachia.

The North Carolina Community Foundation Disaster Relief Fund will support long-term recovery and unmet needs in western North Carolina communities affected by Hurricane Helene in the months to come.

With the money from the fund, NCCF will provide grants in the months and years ahead to eligible organizations in affected communities. Fundraising began immediately after the storm and the first grants will be awarded in early 2025.

Donations can be made at nccommunityfoundation.org/DisasterFund or by mailing a check to NCCF at 3737 Glenwood Ave., Suite 460, Raleigh, NC 27612. Write “Disaster Relief” on the memo line of your check. Ages 18+

Blindsided by their daughter’s whirlwind romance and fearful for her future, Matt and Christina Drayton quickly realize the difference between supporting a mixed-race couple in your newspaper and welcoming one into your family–especially in 1967. But they’re surprised to find they aren’t the only ones concerned about the match, and it’s only a short time before a multi-family clash of racial and generational difference sweeps across the Draytons’ idyllic San Francisco terrace.
