Ferguson has amazed audiences at music festivals such as the Savannah Music Festival, Lincoln Center Out-of-Doors, Lucerne Blues Festival, Switzerlands Blues to Bop Festival and Australias Byron Bay Blues Festival. Two-time honored Most Outstanding Guitarist by Living Blues Magazine and a fantastic solo artist, John has also collaborated with some of musics most influential artists: BB King, Taj Mahal and Kenny Wayne Shepard. Just two years after the band came together in 2003, the group played back up for award-winning Catalonian guitarist Pere Soto. One Leg Up's second and latest CD, Pere LaChaise, has them breathing new life and verve into the 30s-40s French gypsy jazz tradition with fresh arrangements of Django classics, vocal harmonies, original compositions and innovative adaptations of classic jazz pieces from the French "hot club" and American "big band" styles.
