Over the years she has performed all along the east coast as far out as Missouri and Alabama with her original Folk - Grass songs. She launched her solo career last winter with the addition of harmonica, foot tambourine and suitcase kick drum.

As she strums out delightful melodies, she gives her songs presence and energy, with the strength to capture your attention and lift your soul. Through love, loss and reinvention, to traveling the country in a '95 chevy van for two years, Thurston has developed a unique outlook on life which is reflected in her songwriting.

Laura can take you on her journeys with her sweet melodic songs and her enchanting warm voice. She believes in living a life that is worth fighting for, thus giving confidence and drive to her passion for fulfilling her dreams and doing what she loves. She will be sharing her talents again at Southern Appalachian Brewery, Thursday 8/23 @ 7pm.
