BorgWarner Inc. has recognized 26 employees with the 2003 BorgWarner Innovation Award for contributions and creativity in the areas of product development, operations excellence and customer excellence. Each of the company's operating units selected employees from various departments to receive the awards. The honorees represent BorgWarner operations in the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, Korea, Hungary and Japan. The groups were honored at a dinner ceremony at the Conference Center and Inn at Clemson University, Clemson, South Carolina, the site of the 2003 BorgWarner Worldwide Leadership Meeting. Brock Fraser, employed at the local BorgWarner plant was honored for excellence in product development. "This year's recipients of the BorgWarner Innovation Award embody the BorgWarner tradition of innovation and leadership in solving problems and meeting the many challenges of our rapidly changing industry," said Tim Manganello, BorgWarner Chairman and Chief Executive Officer.
