Biltmore Village, see photo on right, with its one-of-a-kind shops filled year-round with a huge assortment of all kinds of folk arts and mountain crafts, fine art, funky and elegant jewelry, clothing for men, women, and children, and furnishings for almost any room in the house, has proudly hosted the Village Art and Craft Fair for the past 32 years. This year�s fair, scheduled for August 7 and 8, promises the same exceptional workmanship as it has in years past. Biltmore Village provides the historic, cozy surroundings for a weekend of browsing, snacking, and making a few thoughtful art purchases.

The Village Art and Craft Fair will play host to 140 artists from 10 states. Their work will feature a wide variety of art and craft media � jewelry, photography, ceramics, wood, fiber, metals, two-dimensional art, pottery, and much more.

The Fair is held each year on the grounds of the beautiful and historic Cathedral of All Souls, see photo on right. Homemade refreshments, benefiting the church�s outreach program, are available.

In addition to finding some unique additions to their home or wardrobe, festival-goers can take home a bit of the Fair with the purchase of one of the very popular posters or t-shirts. With a clever cat design always being the focal point, this year�s artwork is by Elizabeth McAfee, a local artist who has exhibited every year for the past 31 years. Posters and t-shirts are available now at New Morning Gallery or by calling 1-800-933-4438. Posters are $5 each (with $5 shipping charge); t-shirts are $15.95 each (with $5 shipping charge) and come in a variety of colors.

The Village Art and Craft Fair will be held August 7 and 8 rain or shine. There is no admission charge. Hours of the Fair are Saturday from 10 AM � 7 PM, and Sunday from noon � 6 PM. The Fair is sponsored by New Morning Gallery and Bellagio.
