 Is there a dog in your life that is bringing great joy while turning your world just a little bit upside down?
Join the Asheville Humane Society for our new class series on Pet Parenting with dog trainer and AHS Program Director, Gina Phairas, and get your basic dog training questions answered. The lecture series will be held on first Tuesdays beginning in January at Earthfare on Hendersonville Rd., 7-8:30pm. Donations are requested, no reservation is needed. This course is for humans only; please do NOT bring your pet!
AHS is building a new 11,000 square foot animal adoption and humane education center. The facility will provide a healthy, low-stress, family-friendly environment to house cats, dogs, and other animals that are ready for adoption. The design of the center will provide ample space, state-of-the-art noise and disease control, and stress-reducing animal housing. These improvements will greatly increase our adoption placements. This center will also provide space and facilities for much needed education services that support the humane treatment of animals, and will be available for use by other community groups.
