Welcome back a new season of minor league football, with the Asheville Grizzles taking on the best of the Xtreme Conference in the GDFL once more, looking to extend their tradition of success, all the way to the title! Home games are played at Memorial Stadium, so come on up and support your local team! The 2011 season begins on the road for the Asheville Grizzlies, travelling east to Mooresville to meet the Lake Norman Fear on June 4th. The Grizzlies return to base one week later on June the 11th to take on the Carolina Falcons, and they stay at home for the following game, on June 18th, taking on the Carolina Silverhawks. The Asheville Grizzlies are a non-profit organization, and are proud of the players for the job they do on the field, and for our community off the field too. For over 80 years, Memorial Stadium has been a venue for all types of sporting activities in Asheville, and is the current home of the Asheville Grizzlies. The capacity of Memorial Stadium is around 5000 people, has a great atmosphere, and is the place to be when the Grizzlies are in town!
