Beginning January 10, Patton Ave. will be reduced to one lane in each direction during the day. An additional lane closure may be needed depending on underground conditions. If this additional lane closure is needed, one westbound lane will remain open on Patton Ave. between Clingman Ave. and N. French Broad Ave. and appropriate signage and notifications will be utilized.

Scheduled Patton Ave. night closure for January 13 and 14

A portion of Patton Avenue and connecting streets will be closed the nights of January 13-14 from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. due to the ongoing Carter-Ann-Patton stormwater project.

To ensure crew and community safety, Patton Avenue from Pearl St. to S. Ann St. is scheduled to be fully closed. Detour signs will be posted at French Broad Ave. and Clingman Ave. Drivers are encouraged to consider using I-240 or explore other available alternate routes to navigate downtown efficiently. As with any construction project this closure will be dependent on weather conditions.

Work will be carried out overnight to minimize disruption to area businesses and residents.
