Celebrate freedom with the greater community of Asheville during the Juneteenth of Asheville 2022 festival on Saturday, June 18, at Pack Square Park. Festivities will include a parade, vendors, food trucks, art, music, live performances, and more
The Juneteenth of Asheville event originally began in the Hillcrest community in 2009. Over the years more people have become aware of Juneteenth and come out to reunite and celebrate with friends and family. As awareness continued to spread, event organizers realized that the community needed a bigger space, which led them to Pack Square Park in downtown Asheville.
The day’s festivities begin at 12:00 pm and will continue through 9:00 pm. A full schedule of events is listed on the official event website.
There will be several artist peformances including Melodi Royale, Ease Dogg, Suratt, Hypnotic Band, Duece 18, and Rocko to name just a few. There will also be plenty of fun for the kids!
Organizers will provide free shuttle transportation at the Hillcrest Community Center with pick-up times at 12:00 pm and 1:00 pm and drop-off times at 6:00 pm and 7:00 pm.
