The 18th Annual Asheville Fringe Arts Festival is offering plenty of fun activities and events throughout the city, with shows running daily through Sunday, Jan. 26.
The shows take place at multiple venues throughout the city and feature dozens of performances that push the boundaries of art in our community.
Join all the Fringe folk at this true Asheville oddity, offering over thirty local and imported performing artists the opportunity to create and showcase new work. The Fringe provides artists with opportunities to explore the artistic edges of their work, collaborate across genres and bring new, innovative performances to culturally adventurous audiences. Don’t forget to catch the after parties where you can meet the artists and chat about your favorite Fringe shows!
“This year we have performances that include a wide variety of genres with some surprising themes that have emerged that seem to be in a direct response to the current social climate and events, which makes the festival extremely relevant and exciting”, says Jim Julien, co-artistic director of the Asheville Fringe Arts Festival.
The full list of performances, artists, the festival schedule, show descriptions, and after party details are posted on the website at www.AshevilleFringe.org.
