Excalibur Grand to Make Its First Appearance in Western North Carolina

One of the rarest vehicles in the world, The Excalibur Grand Limousine, will make its first visit to Western North Carolina on Saturday, January 16th.

This fabulous car will be on display at the Wedding Festivals Show from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Cellular Civic Center in downtown Asheville.

This vintage limousine, owned by Robert Kirnard of Raleigh, is the first Excalibur Grand made and one of only 5 in the United States and 10 in the world. The Excalibur Grand is modeled after the 1939 Mercedes-Benz 540K.

Excalibur automobiles built for over 40 years in the United States are the only hand crafted luxury car built in America. Excaliburs are not a conversion of a mass-produced automobile but crafted by hand from the ground up. The Excalibur Grand Limousine is the only authentic limousine manufactured anywhere in the world. All other limousines are “cut and stretched” conversions of mass produced automobiles.

Mr. Kirnard expresses his pleasure for the event: “I am very happy about the opportunity to show this gorgeous car to people in the Asheville area. I have been leasing the car for special occasions in other parts of North Carolina and thought it was time to bring it here. When I first saw and drove this car I felt like I had to share the experience with the world. I enjoy this car so much that I want other people to enjoy it as well.”

The Excalibur Grand has a rich and interesting history which Mr. Kirnard will be sharing.
