School Nutrition Employee Week

Buncombe County Schools would like to thank all of the hard workers who comprise the Child Nutrition staff.

Day in and day out, these professionals provide the building blocks of nutrition and health that fuel the great minds of our students. Serving over 9,000 breakfasts and over 15,000 lunches a day, while adhering to strict standards and intricate state and federal guidelines, our school cafeterias are an essential resource for the school community. Serving breakfast, second chance breakfast, lunch, snack and the Super Summer Meals program, the Child Nutrition staff plays an integral role in the support system that public school provides to our children.

Between preparing healthy meals for America’s students, adhering to strict nutrition standards, navigating student food allergies and offering service with a smile, school nutrition professionals are true Heroes!
