WNCA’s Spring Gathering is April 6th

For most of us, activism consists of lobbying officials from “outside” the decision making process, but you can help change the future by getting involved in decision making on the inside.

“Taking Passion and Activism to the Next Level in Local Communities,” organized by WNCA and the North Carolina Conservation Network, will provide an overview of ways to make positive change in your community through service on boards and commissions and, perhaps one day, seeking elected office.

We’ll hear from local elected officials and local government commission members about their transition from citizens and activists to policy-makers and the opportunities they’ve had to make a difference in their positions.
