UNC Health Pardee plans to expand healthcare services in Transylvania County.

The UNC Health-managed entity based in Hendersonville, NC, plans to build out a comprehensive medical office space at 277 N. Broad Street in the College Plaza commercial space.

Future tenants will include Pardee BlueMD, currently located at 1409 Asheville Highway, various specialty services, Pardee Rx, and a community meeting room space. The facility will significantly enhance access to care and streamline services for the residents of Transylvania County by doubling the number of primary providers and increasing access to specialists and pharmacy options.

“Pardee is here for Transylvania County,” said John Bryant, vice president of operations and support services, UNC Health Pardee. “We have been actively looking for a space to expand our services and support the needs of the community for quite some time. To have found a space in downtown Brevard that can accommodate a range of healthcare services and a drive-thru pharmacy is a win-win for everyone.”

Bryant adds that the medical office space at College Plaza will likely open in early 2026. He also notes that patients should not experience any disruption in services while the buildout and transition take place.

UNC Health Pardee is a not-for-profit community healthcare organization and is managed by UNC Health. The hospital, founded in 1953, is licensed for 222 acute care beds. Pardee has several locations separate from the main campus, including a comprehensive physician practice network, a cancer center, four urgent care locations and six orthopedic clinics.
