Kudzu Brands is delighted to announce Appalachian Wildlife Refuge as the winner of its 2024 $10K Brand Giveaway.
After a fierce and passionate live voting race between six finalists, the Candler-based nonprofit received the highest number of votes to obtain the $10K prize. The total number of votes submitted this year exceeded 11,000.
Appalachian Wildlife Refuge will receive a full branding package valued at $10K, including brand story development, logo design, and marketing collateral creation. Currently, Appalachian Wildlife Refuge is the only facility of its kind in Western NC licensed through the NC Wildlife Resources Commission and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Services to work with mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians, rabies vector species (bats, raccoons, skunks, foxes, bobcats), and restricted turtle species, and one of only two facilities in North Carolina permitted to work with the keystone species American Black Bear cubs.
Upon hearing the news, the non-profit responded, “Appalachian Wildlife Refuge is infinitely thankful for our community support and Kudzu Brands for making this opportunity possible. Our vision is to build a full-service rehabilitation facility that defines and initiates research and provides education to the communities we serve.
