Agatha Christie’s Murder on the Nile on February 3rd

Aquila Theatre, in its 25th anniversary season, stages Murder on the Nile on February 3rd at Diana Wortham Theatre. This brilliant new production features a masterful whodunit and Aquila’s clever signature style.

The performance, based on a staging of Agatha Christie’s famous novel Death on the Nile, is set on a paddle steamer cruising the legendary Nile River in 1940’s Egypt. Class, money and reputation are all at stake in one way or another for the passengers and before they know it deceit, theft and murder quickly make waves on the river. A spurned lover, a protective uncle, a troubled German doctor, and a host of colorful and mysterious characters add to the drama and suspense of this classic mystery as Aquila Theatre inserts its own innovative touch with superb acting and direction, as well as thrilling physicality and design.

Tickets are $40 for adults, $35 for students, and $20 for children. Audience members may arrive early at 7:00 p.m. for a “Meet the Artists” discussion in the theatre prior to the performance. Free for ticket holders.
