Buncombe County Special Olympics is seeking athletes to compete in the Special Olympic Alpine Ski and Snowboard program. Practice on dry land will be starting soon. Athletes ages 8 to adult who love to ski or snowboard or those who would like to learn the sports are encouraged to sign up now. Alpine skiing includes winter games when athletes will compete with other ski teams from North Carolina. Join the excitement and fun of downhill skiing and snowboarding.Special Olympics introduces athletes with disabilities to the world of competition and helps them to learn and excel in the sports they choose. There is no charge to athletes who wish to participate. Every athlete must have a completed physical and a signed consent form.
