Asheville Parks and Recreation invites you to celebrate Independence Day with a bang in downtown Asheville on Tuesday July 4th for Ingles� 4th of July Celebration. A good time for the whole family starts at 4 p.m. at Pack Square and College Street downtown. The Sons of the American Revolution will open with a patriotic segment at 4 p.m., followed by hours of a variety of great music. End the exciting day with the captivating fireworks display, which will take place at 10 p.m. Don�t miss out on these free, fun holiday happenings thanks to Ingles.
Featured bands include The Influence at 4:30 p.m., The Carters with Mike Orlando at 6:30 p.m., and The Gary Redd Band at 8:30 p.m. A jam packed day of great music leading up to the dazzling fireworks display is sure to guarantee a 4th of July to remember.
Games and crafts will be offered throughout the day, plus plenty to eat and drink thanks to Pepsi, Budweiser, and a number of venders serving a variety of delicious food. Free family activities including carnival games, fast pitch softball, a 9-hole miniature golf course, and a rock climbing wall. There will also be contests including pie eating, watermelon seed spiting, three-legged races, sack races, and wheelbarrow races.
