The Hop Ice Cream, located in North Asheville at 640 Merrimon Avenue, will host its 3rd annual series of Doggie Ice Cream Socials to benefit Animal Compassion Network. The first social will take place on Thursday, May 5 from 6:00 pm 8:00 pm. For the third year in a row, The Hop is partnering with Animal Compassion Network (ACN) to bring you and your furry, four-legged friends the Doggie Ice Cream Socials every first Thursday of the month with Socials scheduled for May 5, June 2, July 7 and August 4. All of the socials will start at 6:00 pm and end at 8:30 pm. The socials last year received a great response the dogs loved the ice cream and their guardians loved chatting with other animal lovers about their dogs. So, if you missed last years event, mark your calendar and dont miss the best Doggie Ice Cream Socials in Asheville. Pet guardians are invited to bring their well-behaved, leashed dogs for doggie ice cream treats and homemade people treats with proceeds benefiting ACNs foster and adoption programs. Your furry friends will be able to try The Hops homemade Happy Tails ice cream made just for dogs. Doggie ice cream is made from yogurt, peanut butter, and banana with protein added. It's good for your dog and a great treat! The Hop has been serving Asheville's finest homemade ice cream since 1978. The Hops ice cream is made from the best ingredients and the flavors change daily for variety. The Hop also carries locally roasted fair trade coffee from Asheville Coffee Roasters. Animal Compassion Network will feature dogs available for adoption at the event along with raffles, prizes and giveaways. Other dog-related organizations will offer information during the evening for guardians and their pups. Animal Compassion Network (ACN) is Western North Carolinas largest non-profit, safe-for-life animal welfare organization. ACN partners with the community to ensure the humane treatment of companion animals and to promote responsible pet guardianship. For more information, please visit www.animalcompassionnetwork.org.
