PEP Holding 20 Year Reunion on September 20

The Progressive Education Program is celebrating its 20th anniversary by hosting a reunion and fundraiser at TC Roberson PEP on Saturday, September 20th from 1:00 to 4:00.

Since its inception, PEP has graduated more than 150 of our very special students.

We hope to see as many current and former PEP students, families, and staff to celebrate this exciting event. If you know of PEP Graduation anyone associated with PEP that we may have been unable to contact, please inform them of this special occasion.

The Progressive Education Program, which opened in 1994, was the culmination of efforts by Buncombe County and Asheville City Schools’ Administration and Faculty to merge the Lucy Herring and Orthopedic Schools into one county-wide program. PEP is a school within three schools, having classrooms at Estes Elementary, Valley Springs Middle, and TC Roberson High Schools and its own highly qualified teachers, therapists, administrator, and support staff. Students at PEP have moderate to severe physical, emotional, and cognitive needs that require a safe, caring, and engaging learning environment.

More information is available on the PEP Website, or on the PEP 20 Year Reunion Facebook Page.
