Asheville Five-Year Plan for Job Creation

The Economic Development Coalition for Asheville-Buncombe County has a five-year strategic plan in place that will generate 5,000 new jobs and $500 million in corporate investments in the Asheville area.

The AVL 5×5 Campaign provides strong focus on the growth of the Asheville business community through supporting relocation as well as existing business retention and expansion. This program is comprised of both public and private sector investment in the development of the local economy, promoting economic development in North Carolina.

AVL 5×5 is a five-year plan for job creation in Asheville, NC & Buncombe County that kicked off in 2010. Targeting growth in five high-potential target clusters, the Asheville Chamber and EDC aimed to create 5,000 new jobs and $500M in investment in 5 years.
