18th Annual Biltmore Concert Series

Legendary rockers ZZ Top will kick off the 18th annual Biltmore Concert Series on Wednesday, July 30, on the South Terrace of America’s Largest Home.

A mix of Rock and Roll Hall of Famers and Grammy Award-winning acts highlight the series staged next to Biltmore House with stunning sunset views of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

Wednesday, July 30– ZZ Top
ZZ Top lay claim to being the longest running major rock band with original personnel intact (40 years), and in 2004 the Texas trio was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Their biggest hits include “Sharp Dressed Man,” “Gimme All Your Lovin’” and “Legs.”

Thursday, July 31 – Steely Dan
Rock and Roll Hall of Famers Walter Becker and Donald Fagen will bring Steely Dan to Biltmore this summer during their “Jamalot Ever After” Tour across the U.S. and Canada. Steely Dan has sold more than 40 million albums worldwide and helped define the soundtrack of the ’70s with hits such as “Reelin’ in the Years,” “Rikki Don’t Lose That Number,” “F.M.,” “Peg,” “Hey Nineteen” and “Deacon Blues.”

Friday, Aug. 15 –Three Dog Night and 38 Special
In the early ‘70s, no other group achieved more top 10 hits than Three Dog Night.  Known for songs like “Mama Told Me (Not To Come),” “Joy to the World,” “Black and White,” “Shambala” and “One.” After more than three decades together, 38 Special continue to bring their signature blast of Southern Rock to over 100 cities a year.  Their arena-rock hits include “Hold On Loosely,” “Rockin’ Into the Night,” “Caught Up in You,” “Fantasy Girl,” “If I’d Been the One,” and more.

Thursday, Aug. 21– Steven Curtis Chapman and Third Day
Steven Curtis Chapman is known as one of the most awarded artists in Christian music with 57 Gospel Music Association Dove Awards, five Grammy’s, 47 No. 1 singles and approaching 11 million albums sold. The Georgia-based band Third Day has provided a vibrant soundtrack in the lives of this generation of believers. “Show Me Your Glory,” “I Believe,” “Cry Out to Jesus,” and “Mountain of God” are just a handful of Third Day hits.

Saturday, Aug. 23 – Boston
Boston burst onto the music scene with their eponymous best-selling debut album in 1976, and never looked back.  With more than 17 million copies sold, Boston generated hits such as “More Than a Feeling,” “Peace of Mind,” and “Smokin'” – all rock staples that are still in heavy rotation today.

Thursday, Aug. 28– Lyle Lovett and His Large Band and Emmylou Harris
A singer, composer and actor, Lyle Lovett has broadened the definition of American music in a career that spans 14 albums. Coupled with his gift for storytelling, the Texas-based musician fuses elements of country, swing, jazz, folk, gospel and blues in a convention-defying manner that breaks down barriers. A 13-time Grammy winner and Billboard Century Award recipient, Emmylou Harris’ contribution as a singer and songwriter spans 40 years. She has recorded more than 25 albums and has lent her talents to countless fellow artists’ recordings. In recognition of her remarkable career, Harris was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2008.
