The Health Adventure is a health and science museum for children and today’s families dedicated to improving health awareness, promoting wellness lifestyles, and increasing science literacy through programs and exhibits. We encourage curiosity, creativity, and the capacity for individual discovery. We recognize that each person perceives the world from a unique vantage point. Health, biological and physical sciences, technology, and the scientific process are emphasized in our interactive exhibits and curricula. We believe increasing science literacy enables people to make informed decisions about personal health, scientific advances, and career choices. While we are aware that there are many ways to learn, our creative programs and exhibits emphasize participation, exploration, and fun.

Food Lion Skate Park is an outdoor skateboarding park at the corner of Flint and Cherry streets in downtown Asheville.
Peak Swimming is a totally non-profit team with a non-paid parent run board. Each swim family pays a fee for each swim session for their swimmer or swimmers. The team also allocates scholarships to swimmers according to a percentage of income the team has per session. We are not only a competitive swim team. We offer a swim school, masters swimming, conditioning through swimming or just stroke perfection.
National Girls and Women in Sports Day

Most people still call it Frisbee, but the Warren Wilson Ultimate Team takes the sport to a new level by competing in competitions across the country. Ultimate Frisbee combines elements of soccer, football and basketball in a fast-paced game, played with a Frisbee, where everyone is a quarterback and everyone is a receiver.
Asphalt Sisters: Blue Ridge Chapter are an Asheville, NC area all female motorcycle group. Their group includes all types/makes of motorcycle and skill levels. They are a no drama “no fuss-no muss” riding group. They welcome ALL FEMALE RIDERS from all walks of life, and all stages of life. Their goal is to bring together women who enjoy riding and want camaraderie on the road. They want everyone to feel welcome and part of the group. They are open to destination ideas, and encourage suggestions. They hope to meet you soon!
Aston Park Tennis Center
Aston Park Tennis Center is one of the finest public clay court facilities in the United States. There are 12 lighted clay courts designed and constructed of the Har Tru Fast Dry clay court material. The center is open to the public.
This is the premier youth track and field program in the mountains for kids 6-18 and has been in existence since 1990. They have over 20 volunteer coaches and each year host a major track meet for kids at UNCA.
